Acer eRecovery Management

Sometimes it’s necessary to restore a computer to the original default settings. This is often needed when a vital file becomes corrupted. Restoring a computer to its original factory settings also cleans up the C:\ drive and removes all the viruses and old programs that bog down a computer and make it slow and unresponsive.

However, restoring a system should be a last ditch effort in trying to repair a computer, since restoration causes all programs and many files to be lost forever.

Recently my Acer PC windows fail to start due to software crash (or maybe corrupt). I have tried safe mode tried to repair it and none was suscessful.

Luckly Acer computer do have a very good recovery system which is called Acer eRecovery Management. The process was done without recovery CD/DVD. Restoring an Acer computer to its original factory settings can be done in a few easy steps as follows:-
1. Turn the PC on
2. Press the recovery button after a 'beep' sound
3. The following screen will appear.

4. I select 'Restore Operating System and Retain User Data' for the first recovery process because I have a lots of data in C:\ drives.
5. Click Finish &
6. When recovery is complete the system will re-start and will need to complete the setup of Windows.

After everything was recover, I move all my files from C:\Backup to D:\ drive and do a second recovery by selecting 'Complete Restore System to Factory Defaults' to remove persistent viruses and malware on C:\ drive.

Now my PC is back to normal without loosing any important documents and response faster than before.

Cheers!
