Foreign worker killed in fire at SGH new wing

KUCHING: An Indonesian worker died due to smoke inhalation in a fire today at the new wing of the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) which is under construction.

It is believed that welding sparks set fire to construction material and debris.

A total of 151 patients were evacuated from nine wards and no injuries were reported.
