PETER JOHN JABAN HIJACKED BY UNIDENTIFIED SECURITY FORCES
Outside Miri airport |
Radio
Free Sarawak has now learnt that their DJ Peter John Jaban, known to
listeners as Papa Orang Utan, was hijacked by unidentified plain clothes
people, believed to be linked to Special Branch as he left the airport
at Miri this morning.
Peter had been detained at Kota Kinabalu
airport as he tried to return to Sarawak to celebrate Gawai with his
family. He was then escorted to the airplaine and warned that he would
be picked up by Special Branch at the other end.
Local PKR
branch leader Michael Teo and a lawyer Alan Ling met him at the airport
and said that they were able to take him away, despite a heavy police
presence, because there were no specific instructions to arrest him.
However, on the way from the airport, on the road to Miri town their
car was apparently stopped by another vehicle with three unidentified
plain clothes men, who took Peter from the car.
We are assuming
these men are associated with the authorities, but they illegally
failed to give their identities to the lawyer.
“To say we are
worried is an understatement” Clare Rewcastle Brown, Founder of Radio
Free Sarawak, has said today. “We are desperately trying to find where
Peter is and why he was pulled from a car without any proper reason by
unidentified people. The lawyer Alan Ling will be lodging a police
report immediately.
“Our immediate concern is that Peter is not
hurt. We need immediate information as to his whereabouts and his
lawyer should be allowed accesss to him immediately. We are also
concerned that he is subject to high blood pressure and on medication
and this health problem needs to be given proper attention. This
stressful situation will be very bad for his condition.”

Astrological Weight At Birth
Astrological weight at birth is invented by Yuan Tian Gang, a very famous astrologer of the Tang Dynasty.
It is one of the most simplified and popular Chinese astrology systems used to predict a person’s life fortune. This system can be found in the Chinese Almanac or Tong Sheng.
Under this system, the heavier the weight, the better one’s life will be. The maximum weight of 7.1 is supposed to be that of an emperor.
In the olden days, the Chinese traditionally have their baby’s astrological weight at birth calculated at birth so as to have an indication of the child’s fortune throughout his or her lifetime.
Here's the 'print screen' of my astrological weight at birth and the prediction.
I am 5 liang 5 chin & it says :-
Hmm... if you see a rooster or a dragon tortoise in my office, please don't simply touch ok? Hahaha...
If you would like to know your astrological weight at birth, just click here and fill in your DOB and select your time of birth, then click 'CALCULATE'.

"Wealth and fame will be a struggle for you.
At a young age, everything you do will be criticised. Take it all in
stride as soon and you shall enjoy prosperity luck. Then, even your
relatives will benefit from your prosperity. Place a rooster in your office to avoid people gossiping about you and a dragon tortoise behind you where you sit at work to give you support.

Sabah 20-points & Sarawak 18-points agreement
Point 1: Religion
While there was no objection to Islam being the national religion of Malaysia there should be no State religion in North Borneo, and the provisions relating to Islam in the present Constitution of Malaya should not apply to North BorneoPoint 2: Language
- a. Malay should be the national language of the Federation
- b. English should continue to be used for a period of 10 years after Malaysia Day
- c. English should be an official language of North Borneo for all purposes, State or Federal, without limitation of time.
Point 3: Constitution
Whilst accepting that the present Constitution of the Federation of Malaya should form the basis of the Constitution of Malaysia, the Constitution of Malaysia should be a completely new document drafted and agreed in the light of a free association of states and should not be a series of amendments to a Constitution drafted and agreed by different states in totally different circumstances. A new Constitution for North Borneo (Sabah) was of course essential.Point 4: Head of Federation
The Head of State in North Borneo should not be eligible for election as Head of the FederationPoint 5: Name of Federation
“Malaysia” but not “Melayu Raya”Point 6: Immigration
Control over immigration into any part of Malaysia from outside should rest with the Central Government but entry into North Borneo should also require the approval of the State Government. The Federal Government should not be able to veto the entry of persons into North Borneo for State Government purposes except on strictly security grounds. North Borneo should have unfettered control over the movements of persons other than those in Federal Government employ from other parts of Malaysia into North Borneo.Point 7: Right of Secession
There should be no right to secede from the Federation.Point 8: Borneanisation
Borneanisation of the public service should proceed as quickly as possible.Point 9: British Officers
Every effort should be made to encourage British Officers to remain in the public service until their places can be taken by suitably qualified people from North Borneo.Point 10: Citizenship
The recommendation in paragraph 148(k) of the Report of the Cobbold Commission should govern the citizenship rights in the Federation of North Borneo subject to the following amendments:- a) sub-paragraph (i) should not contain the proviso as to five years residence
- b) in order to tie up with our law, sub-paragraph (ii)(a) should read “7 out of 10 years” instead of “8 out of 10 years”
- c) sub-paragraph (iii) should not contain any restriction tied to the citizenship of parents – a person born in North Borneo after Malaysia must be federal citizen.
Point 11: Tariffs and Finance
North Borneo should retain control of its own finance, development and tariff, and should have the right to work up its own taxation and to raise loans on its own credit.Point 12: Special position of indigenous races
In principle the indigenous races of North Borneo should enjoy special rights analogous to those enjoyed by Malays in Malaya, but the present Malaya formula in this regard is not necessarily applicable in North Borneo.Point 13: State Government
- a) the Chief Minister should be elected by unofficial members of Legislative Council
- b) There should be a proper Ministerial system in North Borneo.
Point 14: Transitional period
This should be seven years and during such period legislative power must be left with the State of North Borneo by the Constitution and not be merely delegated to the State Government by the Federal Government.Point 15: Education

Jalan Miri-Marudi
- KM33 - Feri Sungai Arang (Tambang: RM15.00)
- KM33 hingga KM46 - jalan pasir sahaja & licin ketika hari hujan
- KM46 - Feri Sungai Baram (Tambang: RM15.00)

Tips For When To Buy Gasoline
Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the
ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations
have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the
more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying
in the afternoon or in the evening….your gallon is not exactly a
gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the
temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other
petroleum products plays an important role.
A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.
When you’re filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. You should be pumping on low mode, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you’re getting less worth for your money.
One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL. The reason for this is the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.
Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up; most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.
